Kick-off meeting
The Tiger project has officially started with a successful kickoff meeting in January 2022. The online event brought all consortium partners from the Netherlands, India, and Nepal together. During the meeting, international and multidisciplinary cooperation was central, across national and specialist borders. All with the aim to save the tiger in Nepal and northern India. However, the project is more than rescuing the tiger in the vastness of the national parks. The scientific work of the individual partners also contributes to a better understanding of the ecological system and thus to be able to protect the vegetation and the water in a targeted manner. In addition to scientific discussions about the current situation of the tiger, the members also spoke about the contribution of the individual work packages, as well as about future collaborations, hiring of junior researchers, and other project management related topics. In the end, there was only one thing left to say: An exciting project has begun.
